His brothers, who don’t yet believe in Him, urge Him to go to the feast and make Himself publicly known. Jesus responds that His time has not yet come, but later He goes quietly to the festival.

During the feast, the crowds are divided about who Jesus really is. Some think He is a good man, while others accuse Him of deceiving people. The Jewish leaders marvel at His teaching, even though He has never been formally trained, and they become increasingly hostile. Jesus reminds them that their own actions are inconsistent with the Law of Moses, and He exposes their hypocrisy in wanting to kill Him for healing on the Sabbath.
