This message today is what I call the "Be-Attitude". This Post Goes Along With The Previous Post

This message today is what I call the "Be-Attitude". James says that it is not enough to just hear a preacher preach the word. It is also not enough for us to just read the word.

The key is an attitude of "Being" a doer of what the word says. Jesus touched on this in the "Beatitudes" and then He really drove the point home in Matthew 7:23- 25

23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Build on the Rock

24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock."

Notice He connects hearing and doing together. You can believe something but yet not do or practice what you believe. I think this is what Jesus meant by His term Luke Warm found in the Book of Revelation.

I watched a short video this morning on "The Meaning of Lukewarm" by Donna Howell. I pray that you are a wise person and have built your house on the "Rock".

Be Doers of the Word and Not Just Hearers Only.

This message follows along with the previous message. The three key points mentioned are the necessary ways for us the be doers of the word and not just hearers only.
  1. Give God Thanks for all He has done and is doing (He is a doer of His word) for us.
  2. Call upon His Name. To me, this means for us to pray and talk to Him about anything and everything.
  3. And, also I think it means for us to use The Name Of Jesus just as Jesus told us to do (Be a DOER).
Share with others what great things He has done for you.

He Has Been Patiently Waiting For You To Come To Him.

If you do not know Him yet, open the door of your heart and let Him in. He is been patiently waiting for you to come to Him.

If you haven't been able to hear Him, listen and hear His voice calling to you; open the door, and He will come in.

Some Christ followers are burdened with guilt and shame because of their past.

Some Christ followers are burdened with guilt and shame because of their past. They have trouble forgiving themselves.

In conversations with them, I am concerned they have doubts about whether God has forgiven them.

I don't know about you, but I feel I must confess my sin of being overly critical.

I don't know about you,
but I must confess my sin of being overly critical.

I don't know about you, but I must confess my sin of being overly critical. That's not the Jesus kind of love, is it? Have you heard the saying that "confession is good for the soul"? James says, "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." James 5:16

Notice the keywords "confess," "trespasses" (I think possibly trespasses here is speaking of a critical spirit), "pray for one another," and "that you may be healed." I believe there is healing that comes from confessing to one another and praying for one another according to this scripture. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Did You Know The Baptism In The Holy Spirit Is For All Believers?

Immersion in the Spirit
is part 6 of Derek Prince's Laying the Foundation series.  I feel the Holy Spirit inspired me to share this video with my readers because so many of the church have not been exposed to full gospel teaching and especially the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Derek does a wonderful job of explaining why Baptism in the Holy Spirit is available for every believer today just as it was for the early church.  Some doctrines teach that the gifts of the Holy Spirit died out with the apostles.  This kind of teaching is not found anywhere in the scriptures.

After you have watched the video I am certain you may have questions.  Please feel free to contact me by using the "CONTACT US" form in the left sidebar of this blog.  I do not claim to know everything, but I know Him who does.

Who Is The World's Most Influential Person

Thy Kingdom Come by Derek Prince - Published on YouTube on Apr 25, 2013

Bible Teaching by Derek Prince. The world's most influential person is the one who knows how to get his prayers answered. Learn the two basic conditions for accomplishing this: align with God's purpose and embrace God's will.

The Book of Mysteries ~ Jonathan Cohn

On January 1, 2017, I started reading Jonathan Cohn’s The Book of Mysteries and I finished this daily devotion on December 31, 2017.  I was thoroughly blessed by the daily reading as Jonathan helped me to understand many mysteries of the Bible from the Hebrew perspective.  The book helped me to get a better understanding of our Heavenly Father and helped me to grow closer to Him.

In 2018 I committed to reading Derek Prince’s daily devotion Declaring God’s Word.  I have never liked daily devotionals before, but now I am hooked.  Derek explains the scriptures in such a way that even children can understand.

I was also doing a self-study Bible course by Derek Prince.  As you know if have been studying the Bible almost every day since I was 21 years old and I thought I knew a thing or two, but I have discovered that I have only scratched the surface.

I am so excited about my studies this year as it is helping me prepare to face whatever come may this year.  Please don’t get the idea that I think I am some super-Christian as I am sometimes weak and still have my struggles with the flesh.  I’m not perfect, as you may well know, but as long as I stay focused on the WORD I am strong in Him.

This is very important - I know you and your families are very busy and have little extra time, but I pray that you will find the time to get to know the Lord more now than ever before.

Daily Bible reading and prayer for your needs (based on The Lord’s Prayer) and for this needs of others are very important for us to overcome in these days ahead.

Do Not Worry, Everything Will Be All Right

Do Not Worry, Everything Will Be All Right

The following is a study based on the words that were spoken to me when I was 21 years old. I’m not sure if it was a dream or a vision and I am not 100% sure if the person that spoke to me was Jesus or an Angel, but I felt it was Jesus Himself speaking to me. I could see Him standing by my bed as He spoke to me, but I could not see His face. He said to me, “Do not worry, everything will be all right!”

The word for “Worry” means to be afraid, fearful, anxious, and to be troubled with cares. I have noticed that whenever I am under the stress of these conditions I cannot think clearly.

For all these years I had not understood why He appeared to me with that message, but now I am beginning to understand that He is preparing me for a future event that will happen during these last days.

Perhaps this message from the Lord was to prepare me for what happened to me in December 2017.  I cannot give you the details at this time except that the Lord protected me from the adversary.

If you would like to read more as to what the scriptures have to say about why we should not worry, be afraid, be in fear, or be anxious about anything I would like to send you a 9-page scripture study that will help you be prepared for what is to come in these last days and to be an overcomer.  Please make your request using the "CONTACT FORM".  I will send you a pdf copy via email.

The Final Judgment

A time is coming when all the dreams and schemes men have sold their souls for will turn to rust, mold, and corruption. God will put the final period upon the final sentence, upon the final chapter in history. Then we will stand before the Lord. Join Adrian Rogers and discover—are you ready?

"It is my heart's deepest desire that until Christ returns for His church, this ministry would continue to proclaim the truth of God's Word and His life-giving, life-altering love on broadcasts throughout the world" - Adrian Rogers

In the video above Pastor Rogers list five different classes of people that will stand before Jesus to be judged at the Great White Throne of Judgment:

  1. The out-and-out sinner - willfully and defiantly rejects Jesus
  2. The self-righteous - people that believe they are good people and their good works will save them
  3. The procrastinators - those that intend to get saved someday, but not today
  4. The lost church members - those that are churchgoers, but have never truly repented of their sins and are deceived into believing they are saved based on who they are in their church rather than who they are in Christ Jesus.
  5. Those who have never heard the gospel
Please watch the entire sermon for yourself in order for you to determine which of the five classes of people you are in right now. Please feel free to contact me using the "Prayer Form" or the "Contact Form" if you have any questions or comments.

A Prayer For Strength

My Lord God, My Heavenly Father (published initially on March 15, 2018)

by Chet and Gale Nowlen

Father, I praise You and worship You because I am so loved by You. You have called me and have chosen me before I was even born. Thank You Father for sending Your Son Jesus to earth as a man so that He could suffer and die as a lamb, a living sacrifice, to die in my place. Father thank You that all my sins are forgiven and are hidden under the blood of Jesus on the Holy Mercy Seat.

Father, I thank you that you do not see my weakness or my faults when you look at me. Thank you Father that when You look at me You see Jesus. Thank You Father that Jesus has made me righteous in your sight, not because of anything I could have said or done (works). I am only righteous because Jesus took my sin on Himself so that He would wrap me in His righteousness.

Father, I thank you that Jesus did not stay in the grave. Father, I thank you that the Holy Spirit raised Him from the dead and He lives forever more seated at your right hand. Father, I thank you that He has prepared a place for me in Heaven and I look forward to the day when I am there with You Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Lord, You are so awesome because You have anointed, appointed, equipped, and enabled me to accomplish Your purposes here on this earth by the power of the Holy Spirit that works mightily within me!

Thank You Father that no weapon formed against me will prosper and none of Satan’s schemes against me will succeed. O Lord I trust in You to break every chain of sickness, bitterness, unforgiveness, strife, resentment, envy, anxiety, fear, worry, doubt, unbelief, and jealousy that the enemy has set before me as snares in an attempt to draw me away from You.

Lord, I testify that I live, breathe, and serve powerfully under the shelter of You my Most High God. Father grant me strength for each today, Lord, wherever I go that I may serve and please you. Send me to those that you have called me to minister to. Father, I pray for Your protection in my life so that no danger can derail my day. Father, I pray that You will give me strength and the power to complete every task You have called me to do for Your purpose and Your glory...

Abba, Father I pray that I will not let the burdens or cares of this earthly life overcome me. Lord I have courage in these spiritual battles only because of my faith in You and who You are. Father I know I can always trust You because You are always with me no matter how my circumstances may look.

Heavenly Father let no grief overwhelm me and give me strength from Your Word and Your strong hand that is on my life. Father, I love You and fear You O Lord. My hearts desire to serve and please You because it breaks my heart to remember those times when I have disappointed You because of disobedience. Father thank You are patient, loving, long-suffering, and just. Amen

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.-Isaiah 40:28-31

Was It The Wisest Thing To Do?

Proverbs 4:7 New King James Version (NKJV)

7 Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.

Do you know getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do?  Do is know Godly wisdom is worth much more than all the earthy wealth you can obtain in your lifetime.  "Well, if that is true how can we obtain more wisdom?", you may ask.

Your Bible is a great place to start as the word "Wisdom" is mentioned 231 times in the Bible - 176 in the Old Testament and 55 in the New Testament.  I love what James said in James 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

What's Wrong With Our Churches Today? Part 5 (Originally in the "Well Done" Blog on August 18, 2012

What's Wrong With Our Churches Today? Part 5

Many people are afraid of those people that call themselves Pentecostal and/or Charismatic because of the way they have presented themselves as just plain weird. You too may want to distance yourself from these people because of some of the crazy things you've heard they do and believe. I cannot blame anyone for thinking as the Pentecostal and Charismatic churches have alienated themselves from the other denominational churches because of the way some have behaved, and some have come across as believing that they are the only denominations that are truly saved and going to heaven.

The Spiritual Revival of the late 1940s and 1950s was a dramatic outpouring of the Holy Spirit and many people were saved and healed in tent revivals during those days. Great ministries flourished during those times such as Oral Roberts and Billy Graham. Jesus said that He came to give life and to give it more abundantly in John 10:10, but notice just before that He said that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The greatest tool that the enemy has against the church is confusion. The enemy uses every trick in his arsenal to stop the movement of the Holy Spirit by planting thoughts into the minds of people that are contrary to the Spirit. He loves to create division within denomination churches.

The enemy came against Eve in the garden by planting twisted words of what God said and Adam fell for it as well. And, even today the enemy uses the same tricks to deceive believers with twisted ideas that are contrary to God's Word. I believe this is why we have so many different denominations and so many doctrines of man-made ideas today. The Bible mentions the doctrines of demons and I believe that some of these man-made doctrines came from demons.

There is one lady who stands out in my mind because she was so mentally messed up. She admitted that her mind was all twisted and confused because of her church's teachings. She stated her denominational church did not teach much about the scriptures but instead every week the pastor taught the members that all other denominations were going to hell and why. This poor lady was so messed up mentally because she knew her church was wrong but she could not let it go because her pastor taught her she would go to hell if she changed her denominational way of thinking. The poor woman was being mentally tortured because of her church's doctrine.

There are other people that I've talked to from other denominations that are in a terrible bondage of fear, doubt, and unbelief. One person said, "I hope I'm good enough to go to heaven." I was rather shocked that her church did not teach that Jesus died for our sins of the past, present, and future. I thought all believers knew that we do not have to work to earn a ticket to heaven. I thought every believer know we were under grace and not under the law.

There have been occasions in Sunday School classes that I have visited where mature adults have stated their thoughts about a particular subject that was so full of doubt and unbelief I could not believe what I was hearing. These people had been in church all of their lives and were still babes in Christ. Their pastors had not weened them off the milk of the word into the meat of the word.

While working a part-time job in different churches I had the opportunity to meet with different members of several different denominational churches. Most were very friendly and fun to work with. Then some were very arrogant and rude. These arrogant and rude people bothered me and I could not figure out why they behaved this way. I felt the Holy Spirit must have wanted me to see this for a reason. I believe He wanted me to see that what I was seeing was these people act one way as a safeguard to hide what they are feeling on the inside. He said to me that what they are feeling on the inside are feelings of insecurity and inferiority and they do not want anyone to know what they are hiding.

The Holy Spirit said in my heart that He wanted me to experience some of the same feelings of hurt and disappointment that Jesus experienced as a man on earth. My experiences are so minor in comparison to what Jesus experienced making my experiences almost not worth mentioning. But, I feel The Lord wanted me to share them with you.

The Lord seems to want me to share with you, even though there are some things wrong with our churches today, my job is to encourage my readers to grow in the Word through the study and mediation of the scriptures. To feed on His Words and eat the meat of His Words for a deeper understanding and a deeper relationship with Jesus and our Heavenly Father. Pastors should feed the sheep on the deeper meanings of the scriptures and not personal feel-good stories. Denominal Church should forget their differences and be open to worship freely one another. They should make all believers and non-believers feel welcome to come in for worship. Whenever the pastor is preaching he should be teaching what The Holy Spirit is speaking through him. Every member of the congregation should be listening and taking notes as the pastor reveals the truth of the Word and how to apply the Word to be a success in every area of life in this world and the world to come.

All scripture from the Old Testament throughout the New Testament is all about Jesus. In today's society, we are trained to focus on the self which is selfishness and self-centeredness. This is a tool the enemy uses on church members to keep them from prospering. If your pastor teaches you Jesus-consciousness instead of self-consciousness then you are prosperous in all your ways. If you're not prospering then you have been tricked by the enemy. If your pastor or priest is not teaching you how to win the spiritual warfare going on around you then you will always be defeated in life.

In conclusion, I leave you with this scripture found in 3 John 1:2 -

"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. NKJV

What’s Wrong With Our Churches Today?

The last chapter of this story ended with the sadness of divorce. Divorce is a picture of shame, defeat, and failure, especially for those that did not want a divorce. Even though I felt shame and was broken in the spirit God had a better plan for me.

Long before the divorce whenever I prayed I would write down my prayers in a journal and date the prayers. I did this so I could go back and read the prayers to make note of those prayers that God had already answered. There was one prayer, in particular, I remember because I prayed for a wife of specific values and beliefs that were close to mine. I think I was assuming God would make some changes in my wife, at the time, so she could be more in line with the type of woman I felt God had planned for me.

Years after the divorce and after I had remarried I found that prayer journal that I had put away and had forgotten about. When I read the prayer I was shocked by what I was reading because the person I described in my prayer was a perfect picture of the wonderful woman I am married to now. I realized then that God had heard my prayer years ago and answered it in His own way and in His own time.

God’s ways and His plans are so much better than what I could have thought of or even asked for. After the divorce, I had this strong desire to attend a meeting of an organization for single parents called PWP or “Parents Without Partners”. This was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life because the friends I made there helped me to survive the lowest point of my life. I had dated several different women and after a three-year relationship with one particular lady, the relationship ended abruptly. One of my PWP lady friends told me she was going to fix me up with someone and she suggested some people we both knew. I told her that the people she suggested were not of interest. She then said, “I know someone that is just perfect for you, but she has just gone through a divorce and is not yet ready to meet anyone right now.” She said, “I’ll let you know when she’s ready.”

As time went on I had forgotten about the lady that was “perfect for me”, but one day my friend called me and stated her friend is ready to at least talk. She gave me her friend’s phone number and said that I should call her first and I can ask her out if I like what she has to say. I did call her and we talked over the phone for about two hours. I was standing outside in the hot Mississippi August sun ringing wet with sweat and enjoying every minute we talked. We had our first date on August 16th, which is the same date as my anniversary wedding date from my previous marriage. Needless to say, we’ve been together ever since and that will be 20 years tomorrow. God has an amazing way of answering prayers and bringing blessings into our lives.

Ephesians 3:20 is one of my favorite scriptures and I quote it to my wife all the time because God had answered my prayers in so much a greater way than I could ever envision it:

“20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” NKJV I give Him all the glory and praise. By now you are probably wondering what this has to do with the subject of “What’s Wrong With The Churches?” After we were married we decided to get involved in a local church and we joined a large Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. The Pastor was a wonderful preacher and our Sunday School teacher was very knowledgeable in the Word. We enjoyed going there, but we decided to change to another church a little closer to home. This was a much smaller church and we decided to move our membership to this church. There were opportunities for service at the church, but the only position I was allowed to be involved in was with a greeter at the front door. Why? Because I was once a member of a pentecostal church. I guess they were afraid that I would burst out in tongues during the middle of the service. We started attending a Bible Study at another denomination and we asked about becoming a member there. We were refused because of my previous pentecostal background. I cannot figure out why these churches were so against The Holy Spirit and His gifts. Why were they so against me because I believe the entire Bible to be the inspired Word of God and not just part of it?

What’s Wrong With The Churches - Part 3

In the Book Revelation Chapter 1:4-20, there are seven letters written to the seven Churches of that day. John wrote Jesus’ words, the good, the bad, and the ugly in each of those churches. What if He were to have you write letters to each one of the Churches of today? What do you think He would say to them?

The Church as a whole makes up the body of Christ and Christ is the head of that body of believers. You would think all the pieces of the Church body would perfectly fit together, but they do not. They willfully fight against each other because their theology or doctrinal beliefs differ so greatly. Why is this so? Does Jesus approve of this? Did Jesus create it to be this way? These are very difficult questions and my answers to these questions will cause some disagreement. And, that’s okay for you to disagree, but test everything that is said by what THE WORD says and not what I say.

One of my first experiences with so-called religious intolerance came from a church and came through a Pastor of a small church in a rural community. My employer had transferred me to a small town in Southern Mississippi ( I am so ashamed of this town I will not mention its name ) and the only place we could find to rent was an older home on a dairy farm. One day, while I was a work, the Pastor from the local church mentioned earlier, came to my house to invite our family to visit his church this coming Sunday. My wife invited him to our home to visit and this Pastor had the nerve to preach to my wife that my entire family was going to hell because we were from a Pentecostal denomination. He had her in tears with all his ranting about how horrible these tongue-talking, snake-handling, holy rollers were. (I have never handled snakes nor have I rolled in the isles of any church, but I am proud to say I do pray through The Holy Spirit in a heavenly prayer language that The Father hears and understands.) This Pastor made sure to be gone by the time I got home because if he’d still been there by the time I got home I would have laid hands on him in a very non-holy way. Needless to say, we never attended that church and the community never welcomed us because we would not bow down to their church's doctrines.

We did start attending an Assemblies of God Church in town and we assumed that this church would be as open and friendly as the Assemblies of God we left back in the Delta. Wow, were we ever wrong! We were never accepted in this church, in the town, nor at my place of employment for that matter. My kids were never accepted at school either. I had never experienced this type of evil in one area in my life. Why were we not accepted? The local people did finally tell me that we will never be accepted here because there are only two types of people that are accepted. They said you can only be accepted if you were born here, or if you are a wealthy person. I could not believe what I was hearing. My oldest son was even ridiculed at school when he tried to be friends with the daughter of a state politician. She liked him and wanted to be friends, but the grade school kids would not hear of it and stopped that relationship before it could start.

At work, I was able to make some friends, but still, they let me know I was never to be a permanent resident there. They jokingly called me names like Yankee because I was from North Mississippi. They said it jokingly, but they meant it at the same time. They made it plain that they secretly hated me for being there. I felt like the civil war was still on and I was in enemy territory. I think the Lord allowed me to feel this so that I could only get a small taste of the evil that is in men’s hearts. This small town and surrounding towns all suffered from the same evils; inferiority, selfishness, jealousy, pride, arrogance, and intolerance for anyone different than themselves.

We lived in that town for about two years and one day my wife said she could not stand it any longer. She told me she was moving to Jackson whether I went with her or not. We did move to Jackson, Mississippi and I continued to work at my job in Southern Mississippi for another year and a half. I drove 90 miles to work and 90 miles home every day until my employer was acquired by their competitor. I asked the new owners not to offer me a job as I would no longer work here and they agreed.

The bad news about this chapter is it ends in divorce.

To be continued . . .

What's Wrong With Our Churches Today? Part 2

While still in the Methodist Church my pastor became involved in “The Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship and I started attending meetings with him. John Wesley’s early Methodist Church was actually a full gospel church that preach the gift of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues, for every believer, but as time went on the Methodist Church, as with most denominations, drifted away from the teaching of the gift of the Holy Spirit that was given to early church believers throughout the book of Acts.

Somehow pastors were able to convince believers that the gift of tongues was only for those 120 believers that were waiting for the Holy Spirit in the upper room on the day of Pentecost. When you read the Book of Acts you will find that the baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, did not just happen on the day of Pentecost only. It happened to thousands of believers mentioned throughout the Book of Acts. Paul talks a lot about the importance of the gift of The Holy Spirit in the New Testament, but modern churches do not teach the importance of the third baptism, which is the baptism in The Holy Spirit.

At one of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship meetings, I received Baptism in The Holy Spirit with the gift of tongues. I received The Holy Spirit just like I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I received Him by faith. The Holy Spirit gave me a prayer language that I can turn on and off at my will. The other gifts of the Spirit I do not control. He gives those gifts when He decides it is necessary.

As with many churches a split happens, which destroys the church. I left the Methodist Church and visited a full-gospel church Maranatha Assemblies of God in Greenville, MS. I only had to visit one time and I was hooked. They welcome me and my family with open arms. They hugged us even though they had never seen us before. They called us brother and sister as if we were their blood relative. When you think about it believers are all brothers and sisters under the blood of Jesus. Our time at this little holly roller church was a wonderful blessing. It was like a slice of heaven on earth. My pastor and his family were the most amazing and loving people I had ever known. When children came in the front door for the church they always ran to the pastor to hug him and he would always bend down to hug them and talk to them. He was just like I picture Jesus as He received all the children with hugs and He took the time to talk to them.

Jesus told the disciples that He must leave in order for The Holy Spirit to come and He would be their helper, their comforter. The Holy Spirit also baptizes with fire which is literally power. The purpose of Jesus sending The Holy Spirit to us is so that we will be endued with power from heaven. We are pretty helpless in this world on our own, but with the power of The Holy Spirit, we see miracles happen.

I pray in the Spirit as often as possible as I am praying in a language that I do not understand in my mind nor does the enemy understand what I am saying. My spirit is talking directly to The Holy Spirit and He talks to Jesus about me. He makes requests on my behalf in words that I don't know how to ask for. Whenever I pray in my heavenly prayer language my body relaxes from the tensions of this world and in my relaxed state my body is renewed with health.

Because I have prayed in the Spirit I've seen miracles happen in the lives of my parents, my children, and others. I believe you too should seek that baptism in The Holy Spirit if you have not done so already.

What's Wrong With Our Churches Today? - Part 1

The LORD has allowed me to experience some things in my work life and church life that I have not fully understood why I needed to experience these things. I remember as a child, my mother experienced salvation and water baptism while we were attending a small Baptist church in Des Arc, Arkansas. I was about 10 to 12 years old at the time and did not understand why she needed to walk down the aisle of a little Baptist church and then be baptized in the White River. One thing that impressed me about my Mom was when she stated after her baptism she no longer feared death. I remember thinking to myself, "How could she not fear death? I feared death and had trouble going to sleep at night because I thought about this a lot. And, I did not understand how going down the aisle at church was going to change that.

Another thing that impressed me while going to that Baptist church was Jimbo McDonald's (my best friend's), mother. Mrs. McDonald was my Sunday School teacher and she said something that has always stuck with me. She said that she's noticed that when a Christian dies they always have a smile on their face. As a child, I had never experienced deliberately looking at dead people's facial expressions before, but I took her at her word.

There is one death experience I will never forget. As an adult, I was asked to be a pallbearer for an elderly gentleman from our church. I was not at the hospital before he passed away, but his wife and family members told me that just before he died he said that he could see Jesus standing on the other side of the river telling him it was time for him to come home. I like that! Now that's the way to go. In his casket, he didn't have the big smile on his face that I thought he would have, but I believe he did see Jesus calling him because he was one of the nicest Christian gentlemen you would ever want to meet.

When I was a young teenager I remember going to some revivals at different Baptist churches and my friends could not understand why I didn't go down to the altar when they did. I did not feel led to go to the altar because of preacher's sermons were hellfire and damnation and an attempt to scare me into accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior. This did not feel right to me so I refused to go to the alter. I believed that Jesus died for my sins and I accepted Him as my savior, but I refused to go down the aisle because of scare tactics. I wanted to go when I was ready and not for the preacher's benefit. Even though I did not go kneel at the altar I felt I already knew Jesus because I felt Him inside me.

After I was married at age twenty in a Methodist church I did walk down the aisle made my profession of faith at the altar, and was water baptized by sprinkling. I remember having a hunger for understanding the scriptures and dedicating myself to studying every morning. In time I grew in my knowledge of the scriptures and became involved as a teacher and song leader at the little church with a whopping membership of sixty-five. My choir was not that good but we loved to make a joyful noise. We were invited to lead praise and worship at a local Baptist church on Sunday night services. We had a fabulous time worshiping and praising God together without any denominational differences of opinion. That's the way a church should be.

Brought to you by the: "No Greater Love YouTube Channel

"Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give." Jesus of Nazareth, Matthew 10:8

Of all the beautiful things Jesus is recorded as saying & doing in the 4 Gospels, there are over 50 accounts of how He, Jesus, exercised authority over demons and evil spirits. Here they are! In canonical order.

If you long for a deeper, intimate, more meaningful connection with God yet you seem plagued by self-doubt, anxiety, fear or addiction, maybe you are under the oppression of what Paul calls: "the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." -Ephesians 6:12

Yet Christ released us from their charge. And in this video, I show how Christ confronted and overcame demonic forces and evil spirits. Whether these manifest today as self-doubt; suicidal ideation; habit; addiction; depression; self-harm; anxiety; rage; low self-esteem; terror; anger; fear or sadness - this film and its message is for today's world.

Forgive ~ Forgiveness and Prayer ~ if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses, But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses

Forgiveness and Prayer

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Mark 22:25-26

Have Faith In God ~ Ask ~ Believe ~ Receive ~ Talk to the mountain ~ Tell It To Get Out of the Way ~ do not doubt in Your Heart ~ believe what you say will be done ~ you will have what you say

"So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." Mark 11:22-24.

The Father

Once upon a time, there was a man that took a young bride to share his life. The wife bore the man sons and he is now referred to as “Father”. One day a terrible thing happened. The wife betrayed the “Father” as she had been seduced by another. The betrayal broke the “Father’s heart, and separation and divorce hurt the “Father” even more.

The wife married the seducer and they became as one. The sons followed their mother’s direction and one of the sons accepted his new step-father as if he were his natural father. The “Father” came to visit his sons, but one of the sons ignored him as if he were not even there. The other son honored the “Father” and gave him honor and respect. One son could not find anything good that the “Father” had ever done for him, so he ignored him and hoped he would go away. The other son honored his “Father” with his time and attention. This son gave the “Father” thanks for all he had ever done for him.

This story may sound like someone you know and it is. The “Father” in this story is of our Heavenly Father, God. The wife is the world and the seducer is of course Satan. The world and the worldly system are married to Satan. Satan is the illegal step-father to sons. The sons are all the children born all over the world since the creation of man.

Notice the parallel of the two sons and first two sons in the Bible, Cain and Abel. Even though Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden, because of their disobedience, God still came to visit His family. Adam taught his children to honor God, because He was their creator, by giving back to God. Cain and Abel were the first to tithe to God.

Cain gave a portion of his crop to God, but Cain dishonored God by holding back his best for himself. He only gave to God from the third picking, which is the poorest quality of the harvest. You see Cain dishonored God by only giving poor quality, whereas Abel honored God by giving Him his very best first.

The two sons represent two classes of people on the earth. The first is the people that ignore God and hope He will go away. The second is the people that love God and honor Him in all that they do. They give him thanks and praise Him. “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” I Thessalonians 5:18

The greatest gift you can give you Heavenly Father is to thank Him every morning and give Him praise for all His blessings He has given you.

Sometimes we take our earthly father’s for granted too. One of the Ten Commandments is to “Honor your Father and Mother”. The greatest gift you can give your parent is your respect and honor them with thanks for the many sacrifices they made for you. Praise them for what they did right and forgive them for what they did wrong. Take the time to praise them, with your words, as you will not always have your parents.

If you’ve hurt or disappointed your parents don’t tell your parents to “Get over it!” That does not heal the wound. Tell them you are sorry for your selfishness. Ask them to forgive you and when you do you will heal the hurt and the pain of your selfish words. Words used the wrong way can cause damage to a person’s body and spirit for their entire lives.

Get to know your Heavenly Father by reading His WORD every day.  Talk to Him and ask Him to help you honor Him and your earthly parents as well.

Don't just listen to what a pastor says in church.  Pastors are human too.  Study God's WORD for yourself and let the Holy Spirit lead you and guide you in everything you do and say.
