The Kingdom of Heaven ~ From The Gospel of Matthew

The Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus believes that "The Kingdom of Heaven" is a very important topic as He mentioned this phase 32 times in the Gospel of Matthew, but it is not mentioned in any of the other Gospels.

Matthew 3:2. and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

Matthew 4:17. From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Matthew 5:3. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:10. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:19. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:20. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 7:21. (Note: To hear Jesus say to you, "I Never Knew You") are the scariest words in the Bible) “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Matthew 8:11. And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 10:7. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’

Matthew 11:11. “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Matthew 11:12. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

Matthew 13:11. He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

Matthew 13:24. From The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares. Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;

Matthew 13:31. From The Parable of the Mustard Seed. Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,

Matthew 13:33. From The Parable of the Leaven. Another parable He spoke to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.”

Matthew 13:44. From The Parable of the Hidden Treasure. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

Matthew 13:45. From The Parable of the Pearl of Great Price. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls,

Matthew 13:47. From The Parable of the Dragnet. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind,

Matthew 13:52. Then He said to them, “Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”

Matthew 16:19. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 18:1. Who Is the Greatest? At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

Matthew 18:3. and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18:4. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18:23. Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.

Matthew 19:12. For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”

Matthew 19:14. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 19:23. With God All Things Are Possible. Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 20:1. From The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard. “For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.

Matthew 22:2. “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son,

Matthew 23:13. “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

Matthew 25:1. From The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Matthew 25:14. From The Parable of the Talents “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.

I think Jesus must have emphasized "The Kingdom of Heaven" for a specific reason. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

The Kingdom of God ~ Part 3 of 4 ~ From the Book of Luke ~ Video

The Kingdom of God.

Part 3 of 4. From the Book of Luke.

As I stated in Part 1 of our Kingdom of God study series I do not like to take scripture out of context, however, I think that by now you are beginning to see how reading this key word phrase in the following manner gives us greater understanding of the words of Jesus.

Luke 4:43. but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.”

Luke 6:20. From The Beatitudes.

Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: “Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God.

Luke 7:28 - For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

Luke 8:1. Many Women Minister to Jesus.

Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him,

Luke 8:10. And He said, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.’

Luke 9:2. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Luke 9:11. But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.

Luke 9:27. But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God.”

Luke 9:60. Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.”

Luke 9:62. But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Luke 10:9. And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

Luke 10:11. ‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’

Luke 11:20. But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.

Luke 12:31. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

Luke 13:18. From The Parable of the Mustard Seed. Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?

Luke 13:20. From The Parable of the Leaven. And again He said, “To what shall I liken the kingdom of God?

Luke 13:28. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.

Luke 13:29. They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God.

Luke 14:15. From The Parable of the Great Supper. Now when one of those who sat at the table with Him heard these things, he said to Him, “Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God!”

Luke 16:16. “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.

Luke 17:20. The Coming of the Kingdom. Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation;

Luke 17:21. nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

Luke 18:16. But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

Luke 18:17. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

Luke 18:24. With God All Things Are Possible. And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!

Luke 18:25. For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Luke 18:29. So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,

Luke 19:11. From The Parable of the Minas. Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately.

Luke 21:31. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.

Luke 22:16. for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”

Luke 22:18. for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”

Luke 23:51. He had not consented to their decision and deed. He was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God - Part 2 of 4 ~ The Kingdom of Heaven

The Kingdom of God - Part 2 of 4 from the Book of Mark.

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

And He said to them, “To you, it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables,

And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground,

Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it?

And He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power.”

And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire—

But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!”

The Kingdom of God Part 1 of 4 ~ The Kingdom of Heaven

The Kingdom of God.

Part 1 of 4 from the Book of Matthew.

Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of God 32 times in the four Gospels.

And, the Kingdom of God is mentioned 15 times from the Book of Acts through the Book of Revelation.

Jesus also spoke on the Kingdom of Heaven 32 times in just the Book of Matthew alone.

The Kingdom of Heaven is also mentioned again 2 times in the Book of Revelation.

Today we are studying the Kingdom of God from the Book of Matthew.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

"But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you."

"And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

"Which of the two did the will of his father?”

They said to Him, “The first.” Jesus said to them,

“Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you.

“Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.

Now, I normally do not like taking Scripture out of context, but I find that by studying keywords and keyword phrases I enjoy a whole new perspective of what is being said.

To me, it is almost as if there are hidden teachings for the followers of Christ to glean from His Word.

Let me know in the comments if you find this to be true for you also.

When Will The Day of The Lord Happen? ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

When Will The Day of the Lord Happen?

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.

For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11.

How Do I know What the Will of God Is For Me ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

How Do I Know What the Will of God Is For Me?

The keyword phrase, "Will of God", is mentioned 495 times in the New King James Bible.

This keyword phrase is mentioned 384 times in the Old Testament, and 111 times in the New Testament.

Whenever I read the Bible, keywords, and keyword phrases, seem to jump off the page to me.

The keyword phrase "will of God" serves as a reminder of how we should live our lives with faith in God's power and wisdom.

My favorite "God's Will" scripture, which I recite to myself almost every day, is found in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

I believe this is how we worship our Heavenly Father in spirit and in truth.

Parable of the Talents ~ Matthew 25:14-30

The Parable of the Talents.

The parable tells of a master who gave his servants talents according to his own abilities. He expected them to make profits from it and be rewarded for their hard work. But one of the servants was lazy and unprofitable, while the others were able to make good returns on their investments.

Jesus is teaching us that we should use our talents wisely and make sure that they are being used in a profitable way. It also encourages us to put in effort into developing our skills so that we can be rewarded for it in the end.

This parable is instructing us to invest in the Kingdom of Heaven through service for others. Notice what Jesus said in Matthew 25:34-36 "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry, and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in; I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me."

Jesus went on to say in verse 40. "And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Now let's examine what Jesus said to the unprofitable servant in verses 26-30.

“But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming, I would have received back my own with interest. So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Today's video should be a wake-up call for lazy and selfish people that are only concerned about themselves and about obtaining wealth for selfish gain. To these people Jesus will say to them at the Great White Throne Judgement, "Depart from me as I never knew you!" These people will be cast into the Lake of Fire that burns for ever and ever. Read Matthew 7:22-24 and Revelation 20:11-15.

Why Is the Word BIBLE Not Found in the Bible? What Does The Word Bible Actually mean?

Why Is the Word BIBLE Not Found in the Bible? What Does The Word Bible Actually mean?

The word Bible is an acronym for the phrase “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth”. It is a collection of ancient texts, written by many different authors, that form the basis of the Christian religion. The Bible is divided into two main sections: The Old Testament and the New Testament.

The Bible does not mention its own name in its text because it was never meant to be a book with a title. Instead, it was intended to be a collection of teachings and stories that are passed down from generation to generation. Thus, it is believed that the word “Bible” was created by later generations as an acronym for “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” in order to make reference to this important book more easily.
