WORRYING CHANGES NOTHING — TRUSTING GOD CHANGES EVERYTHING

In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus lovingly reminds us not to worry about our lives, not about food, clothing, tomorrow, or the many problems that try to overwhelm our minds. He points us to the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. They do not strive, panic, or live in fear, yet our Heavenly Father faithfully takes care of them every day.

Jesus asks a powerful question: “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” (Matthew 6:27)

Worry steals peace, drains strength, clouds judgment, and keeps our minds focused on problems instead of God’s promises. Worry causes us to imagine the worst while forgetting the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord.

But Jesus also gives us the answer:

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33

When we place God first, trust replaces fear. Peace replaces anxiety. Faith replaces despair.

Tomorrow is in God’s hands. Your life is in God’s hands. The same God who watches over the sparrow is watching over you.

No matter what you are facing today, remember: God already knows your needs before you ask Him. He is near to the brokenhearted. He is faithful even when life feels uncertain.

Do not let worry become greater than your faith. Pray. Trust. Rest in His promises.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” — Matthew 6:34

  1. Sometimes the battles we fight are not around us — they are within us. Fear, uncertainty, anxiety, and worry can consume our thoughts if we allow them to. But Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6 that our Heavenly Father already knows our needs before we even ask Him.

    Today, choose faith over fear.
    Choose prayer over panic.
    Choose trust over worry.

God has never stopped being faithful — and He never will.
