Speaker: Derek Prince
Theme: Distinguishing between the true and false church in the end times
Scripture Focus: Revelation 17, 2 Thessalonians 2, 2 Corinthians 11:2–4
Duration: Approximately 60 minutes

1. Introduction: Two Churches in Operation

  • Key Insight: There are two distinct spiritual entities in the world today: the true church and the false church.

  • Derek Prince's Statement: "Two opposing religions are coming to fulfillment in our time. Abel's produces a martyr and a bride; Cain's produces a murderer and a harlot."

  • Objective: To help believers identify and align with the true church, avoiding the deceptions of the false church.

2. The Origin of the False Church

  • Scriptural Reference: 2 Corinthians 11:2–4

  • Key Points:

    • Another Jesus: A distorted or counterfeit representation of Jesus.

    • Another Spirit: A spirit that is not the Holy Spirit, leading to false teachings.

    • Another Gospel: A gospel that deviates from the true message of salvation.

  • Consequences: Acceptance of these distortions leads to spiritual deception and misalignment with God's truth.

3. Characteristics of the False Church

  • Scriptural Reference: Revelation 17

  • Key Features:

    • Spiritual Fornication: Engaging in idolatry and false worship.

    • Political Alliances: Forming unholy alliances with political powers for influence and control.

    • Materialism: Living in excessive luxury and wealth, focusing on temporal gains.

    • Persecution of the True Believers: Opposing and persecuting those who uphold the true gospel.

  • Derek Prince's Warning: "Any group that aims particularly for the wealthy is probably in error."

4. The Rise of the Antichrist

  • Scriptural Reference: 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4

  • Key Points:

    • The Man of Lawlessness: The Antichrist who will exalt himself above all that is called God.

    • Deception: He will deceive many with signs and lying wonders.

    • Worship of the Beast: The ultimate goal is to receive worship and allegiance from all people.

  • Derek Prince's Insight: "The ultimate purpose of Antichrist is to obtain the worship of the whole human race." Watch Online Sermons 2025

    • Devotion to Christ: Loyalty and love for the true Bridegroom, Jesus Christ.

    • Separation from Worldliness: Not entangled with the affairs of this world or materialism.

    • Persecution: Willingness to suffer for the sake of the gospel.

  • Derek Prince's Encouragement: "Be on your guard, you’ll not be deceived by the false church and you’ll know where you are spiritually at any given time."

6. Practical Application

  • Self-Examination: Assess personal beliefs and affiliations to ensure alignment with the true gospel.

  • Discernment: Develop the ability to distinguish between true and false teachings.
