Commentary on Matthew Chapter 28: "He Is Risen"

Commentary on Matthew Chapter 28: "He Is Risen"

My Scripture Reading for today is Matthew Chapter 28. Matthew 28 is the powerful conclusion to the Gospel, where we witness the most significant event in Christian history—the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The chapter begins with the women discovering the empty tomb and encountering an angel who declares, "He is not here, for He is risen." This glorious moment symbolizes victory over death and the fulfillment of God's promise. Jesus' resurrection offers hope, assurance of eternal life, and the charge to spread the Good News. The chapter concludes with the Great Commission, where Jesus commands His disciples to make disciples of all nations, assuring them of His presence until the end of the age. This passage is a profound reminder of Christ's victory, authority, and enduring presence.
