17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.
This scripture reminds me of a few other scriptures:
Psalm 17:9
From the wicked who oppress me, From my deadly enemies who surround me.
Luke 19:43
For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side,
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Do you feel surrounded your enemies? Have you been betrayed by a close family members or so-called friends? Have you had so-called friends gossip about you and spread false rummers about you in order to turn others against you? If you have said yes to any of these let the above scriptures give you hope as they have me. Ephesians 6:12 gives us the key to who our real enemies are. It's not the people that have attacked us. It is the enemy inside them that is driving them to the evil against you.
What can we do about it? Jesus gives us the answer - instead of hating your enemy Jesus tells us to love our enemy:
Matthew 5:44
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
Here are some other scriptures that will help you:
Proverbs 25:22
For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the Lord will reward you.
Romans 12:20
Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
